A large fire burned in the Back Bay area Thursday afternoon.
A large plume of smoke could be seen above the buildings as the fire burned.
Northeastern Police tweeted a message on Thursday afternoon, asking people to avoid the area of Back Bay Fens and Boston Fire works to control the fire.
Firefighters worked for hours putting out the flames.
Investigators are working to find out what started the fire.
