The body of a Bridgewater State University student was found in a dorm room on Thursday.
According to the school, the Bridgewater State University Police Department responded to a 911 call from one of the residence halls. When police arrived, they found a student unresponsive.
The victim has been identified as a first-year student from Sharon.
The student was immediately transported to Brockton Hospital and was pronounced dead. The death is not believed to be suspicious.
Counselors are available to students, faculty and staff.
