A fire captain in Providence, Rhode Island is on the road to recovery after being moved out of the ICU.
He suffered cyanide poisoning and a leg injury after battling a fire on Thursday.
His wife says his condition is improving.
At the time of the fire, he was put in a medically induced coma when his vital signs started crashing.
Authorities are investigating the fire.
