Strong winds and heavy snow had damaging effects on many parts of Massachusetts Sunday.

In Brookline, two trees came crashing down. One landed on a house on Spooner Road and the other landed in the road on Grove Street. The homeowners on Spooner Road said they were grateful Brookline Police came by quick to help them.

In Wellesley, police worked to remove trees and large branches that fell down on the Weston Road Bridge and Mayo Road. Police said other areas of town were also affected.

Belmont police warned people via Twitter to stay away from low hanging or fallen wires. A tree and power lines fell on Charles Street. In Norwell, police announced there were multiple trees and wires down, as well as reported power outages and car crashes.

Another round of snow is expected Monday, though without the strong winds.
