Police are investigating an assault in Londonderry as they search for the attackers.
Yellow crime scene tape still hangs from brush where neighbors said police were investigating earlier this week, but with investigators saying little about what happened, neighbors are left confused and concerned.
Jackie Theriult is a young mother who lives in one of the many apartments on the street. She said police were seen going door-to-door asking questions.
"I’m scared because I have a three-year-old and usually we walk that route," Theriult said. "And so it could happen to anyone."
Now, she wants to ask investigators about whether people here should be on alert.
"I’m out here with my son every day," she said. "I’m a stay-at-home mom. I want to know what’s going on. I want to know if we should be walking around or we shouldn’t."
Police have stepped up patrols in the neighborhood but say neighbors should take the same amount of precautions that they would normally take.
