A young child was taken to the hospital after police said he was hit by a car while riding his tricycle in East Boston.
Police said the boy was struck at the intersection of Bennington and Brooks streets. The 3-year-old boy was then taken to the hospital, where his condition is unknown.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
