A woman is behind bars after hitting and killing a man with her car in Worcester.
The 70-year-old victim who has not yet been identified, was hit around 9 p.m. Wednesday while crossing Shrewsbury Street.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Worcester police say the driver did stop at the scene, where they spent hours investigating.
Rebecca Brooks, 37, of Whitinsville was allegedly drunk behind the wheel.
She faces multiple charges including motor vehicle homicide, operating under the influence and negligent operation.
She has been held on cash bail.
