Police are looking for the driver who they said was drag racing in the Back Bay and fled after striking a pedestrian.
Police said a Bentley and a BMW were drag racing down Beacon Street when the driver of the Bentley jumped a curb and struck a pedestrian near Exeter Street. The car then hit an iron fence before crashing into a tree.
Witnesses said the driver and passenger in the Bentley jumped out and got into the BMW, which then drove off towards Storrow Drive.
"It’s just really scary to think people would be that irresponsible," said Elizabeth Crowley, who lives in the area.
The injured pedestrian was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where their condition is unknown.
