Three anti-Semitic messages were found at Newton North High School since Friday.

Now, school officials say they will speak with students about the incidents. In a statement, Newton North High School principal Mark Aronson said:

"I look forward to engaging our students and the community in a meaningful dialogue about how we can celebrate our diversity and draw strength from it.

The messages are similar to writings found in a bathroom at the school in December.

Also, on March 11, a series of anti-Semitic chants were heard during a basketball game between Newton North and Catholic Memorial School.

Days before that game, parents learned of three anti-Semitic messages found at the Day Middle School, two of which were not reported to police immediately.

The superintendent says he is going to look into whether or not this incident is related to what happened at the basketball game last weekend, but right now he says there is no indication that’s the case.

All of these incidents have been reported to police, and they are treating this as a criminal investigation.
