?An 80-year-old Plymouth woman who was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Westborough on Wednesday, has died.
The woman, who was driving a minivan, underwent surgery at UMass-Memorial Medical Center in Worcester on Wednesday night, according to police.
The woman’s 79-year-old husband, who was a passenger in the van, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is at the hospital, police said.
The couple’s 11-year-old granddaughter was also in the car. She was treated at a hospital and has been released.
The van the family was riding in struck a school bus on Wednesday afternoon on West Main Street as the bus was leaving a parking lot.
No students were on the the bus during the crash.
Firefighters worked for over an hour to rescue the woman from the van.
The driver of the bus, a 60-year-old Charlton man, was not injured.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
