Two people were killed after their car crashed into a Dunkin Donuts in Lynn early Saturday morning.

According to State Police, the crash occurred just before 2:30 a.m. on the Lynnway in the area of Blossom Street. Police said they got a 911 call saying the the car somehow lost control and crashed into the Dunkin Donuts.

"It was pretty gruesome, it was a pretty serious accident," said Anthony Pio, who witnessed the crash. "The car, you couldn’t even tell what it was."

A man and woman in the car were both ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

The roadway was reopened to traffic shortly after 6:00 a.m. Saturday. The crash remains under investigation but witnesses said speed appeared to be a factor.
