Boston Police responded to a person barricaded in their home in Roslindale.
Police said they received a report of the incident on American Legion Highway at around 3:50 p.m. on Thursday.
Boston police are now investigating the incident as a "swatting" hoax, which is when someone reports a fake emergency.
A swat team swarmed the home Thursday, surprising the man who was inside at the time.
There was no emergency and no one was hurt.
