An MCI-Bridgewater corrections officer appeared in court on Wednesday for allegedly trafficking heroin, according to State Police.
Stephen Lebreux, 40, of Swansea, was arrested in Somerset at around 4 p.m. on Tuesday as he arrived to conduct a drug transaction with undercover State Police trooper, State Police said.
An undercover State Police trooper previously made several heroin purchases from Lebreux while Lebreux was off duty and not at the prison, State Police said.
Lebreux is being held on $20,000 bail.
