An honorary member of the Northeastern Men’s basketball team has provided inspiration to the Huskies all season.

Max Plansky, 16, was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when he was 9 months old. He can also be seen courtside at every Northeastern game and has been named an honorary Husky. Plansky said he loves attending practice with the team each week.

"He’s an amazing kid," said senior guard Zach Stahl. "He’s got a great personality and once you get to meet him, he’s all smiles. He means the world to our team."

"He teaches you about perseverance and getting up everyday and struggling with adversity," said Northeastern Head Coach Bill Coen.

Thanks to Plansky’s time with the Huskies, his father Michael started the organization You’re With Us. The organization gives young people with disabilities a sense of belonging by partnering them with clubs, groups and teams.
