Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump easily won the nominations in the New Hampshire Primary. But a couple of legendary Patriots were among the runners-up in the Granite State.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick and QB Tom Brady were among several people who received write-in votes by citizens who cast ballots in the first-in-the-nation primary. Brady received four total votes – two on the Republican side and two on the Democratic side – and Belichick received one vote on the Democratic side.

But the two weren’t the only ones to garner votes as write-ins. Among the others were former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg (24 votes), former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney (23 votes), and former senator Ron Paul (17 votes).

Celtics coach Brad Stevens received a vote, as did former Secretary of State Colin Powell, House Speaker Paul Ryan, former first lady Barbara Bush, former wrestler and governor Jesse Ventura, and Clint Eastwood, among several others.

On the Democratic side, Bloomberg received another 26 votes. Vice President Joe Biden received 36 votes. Others receiving votes include Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, actor Bill Murray, deceased former president Ronald Reagan, "House of Cards" fictional president Frank Underwood, "Foo Fighters" frontman Dave Grohl, and television scientist Bill Nye also received a vote.

Actor Tom Cruise received two write-in votes. Actor Tom Selleck and musician Willie Nelson were also among those receiving votes.
