A standoff in Dorchester came to a peaceful end Wednesday with four robbery suspects taken into custody.

Police said the four armed suspects locked themselves in a house on Roach Street after robbing the Pleasant View Store at around 6 p.m. Police said the suspects got away with a few hundred dollars from the store. Witnesses were able to tell the police where the suspects went.

"They surrounded it, secured the building, at that point we had information that the suspects were in there," said Boston Police Commissioner William Evans.

After an hour of negotiating, a woman and young child were able to get out of the house safely, and no one was injured in the standoff.

The four men are expected in court Thursday, and police say at least three of them are facing charges of armed robbery while wearing masks.
