A car has been removed from underneath scaffolding at a building in East Boston after a crash Tuesday morning.

The crash happened at the corner of Porter and Orleans streets.

Police said the crash happened after one car stopped to let someone cross the street and a second car swerved to avoid hitting the first car and ended up hitting the building.

No one was hurt.

Police say the driver could be cited with "failure to yield."

The building is an old factory in the process of being converted into a hotel.
