The MBTA says regular Red Line service has resumed after a track issue cause shuttle buses to be used Thursday morning.

Shuttle buses replaced  the Red Line on the Braintree branch between North Quincy and JFK/UMass stations for some time early Thursday.

According to the MBTA, disabled track maintenance equipment on the right-of-way led to the use of the shuttle buses.

Customers are urged to allow extra time to commute.
