Boston Celtics forward/guard Evan Turner visited Franciscan Hospital for Children to deliver cheer to the patients on Thursday.

Turner participated in basketball activities and presented children with Project Sunshine creative arts and crafts kits.

The arts and crafts were assembled by local volunteers at the Boston Celtics vs. Detroit Pistons game on Jan. 6, and contain both educational and entertaining crafts that provide children facing significant medical challenges some much-needed fun.

"The cool thing about today was interacting with the kids," Turner said. "They had a lot of energy and positive mindsets. Putting smiles on other people’s faces is what it is all about."
