A swarm of mayflies covered an Iowa bridge on Saturday night forcing the bridge to close.
Teena Franzen was on a ride along with police in Sabula, Iowa when suddenly a large swarm of mayflies descended on a bridge forcing it to close.
Police called for road crews to plow the bridge and clear the bugs.
The Iowa Department of Transportation plans to keep the lights on the bridge off in hopes of keeping bugs off of it.
