What a game….Brady gets ring #4 and in my opinion elevates him above Montana and now the NFL’s greatest QB in history gets to come back home to another snowstorm. This storm is nothing like the blizzard but if you have to work today it will be a slow go.

The storm is a quick mover but despite moving fast it will lay down a healthy stripe of snow along & north of the MA Pike. The *special* map in our maps section details the snowfall potential with this storm. Here are some other deets on the storm:

*Heaviest snow happens between 6am and 2pm with lighter snows between 2pm & 8pm. After 8pm skies will clear out.

*Coastal flooding is not a major concern as we catch astronomical tides lower than last week and the storm surge is much lower. Only concern is the 10am high tide on the South Shore especially in the Scituate area but even there it’s only the risk of minor coastal flooding/splashover.

*Wind is from the northeast and will be fiesty for much of the day. It looks like most coastal towns will have wind gusts near 30mph—once again, nothing like the blizzard. North & west of the town the snow will be light/fluffy in nature so plan on blowing/drifting snow. South of town it will be a wetter snow—that combined with the 30 mph wind gusts could lead to some minor power disruption on the South Shore.

In any event, the storm pulls out of here late this evening dragging bitterly cold air into New England for tomorrow. That bitter air is also dry so sunshine makes a return.

More updates through the day!
