Some rain heading this way today but much like the weather system on Saturday afternoon this weather system is paltry. We could use the rain as many cities & towns are running a rainfall deficit of 3-6″ (the summer was nice with all that sunshine but now is the time to root for rain)–not that we want 3″ of rain in one day but it would be nice to chew away at some of the deficit. This system won’t produce that kind of rainfall but rather  .20″ or less–perhaps just sprinkles on the South Shore/Cape. Both commutes are dry today with afternoon temps running in the 60s.

The rest of the week is full of dry air & sunshine as well as a brief shot of arctic air. Yes, I said arctic air….now, it’s not January Arctic air but September as temps on Friday morning start in the  mid 30s and then only reach the upper 50s by afternoon–about 10-15 degrees below normal! Skies will be sunny despite the chill  in the air.

As the saying goes…what goes down must come back up and it’s no different with temps. Friday is chilly but by Sunday the numbers skyrocket through the 70s & even make a run at 80 (including Gillette for the Pats home opener). Both weekend days are sunny.

Enjoy your Tuesday!
