Well, we didn’t get a lot of rain, but it was enough to keep us wet for a few hours late yesterday as a batch of rain rolled on through. Most towns picked up between 0.10″-0.25″, hardly a dent in the ongoing dry pattern we’ve had, but at this point, we’ll take what we can get. Looking ahead, we have more dry times than wet again.
What’s tough on the lawns and gardens is great for apple picking, the tee times and ball fields as sunny skies prevail today with low humidity. The breeze is a bit active as well, so we’ll call it a bright and brisk day with lots of blue in the sky. The low humidity and clear skies will set up a chilly night tonight once the winds die down. In fact, frost advisories are as close as southwestern New Hampshire tonight. Many suburbs outside Boston fall into the upper 30s tonight with lows near 50 in the city!
The week ahead features a chance of rain Tuesday. Showers are mainly Tuesday morning, into midday and it’s not a super soaker. Many towns may gather another 0.25″… perhaps up to 0.50″ if we’re lucky. Other than that, a dry week overall with the chilliest weather we’ve seen since the Spring returning by Friday. Despite lots of sun, highs have trouble going much above 60 and overnight lows fall into toward 40. Even some mid to upper 30s possible in the burbs!
Enjoy the weekend and go Pats!
