Sudbury crews battle 2-alarm fire at home

Posted: Updated:
SUDBURY, Mass. (WHDH) - The Sudbury Fire Department battled a 2-alarm fire at a home Saturday afternoon.

Crews responded to the home on Ruddock Road at around 4:30 p.m. where a fire had broken out in a bathroom and spread to the attic.

Firefighters were able to stop it from spreading.

"Our crews were able to arrive quickly and stop this fire before it consumed the house, despite the fact that home was set far away from the road," Chief William Miles said.

The two occupants of the house at the time made it out safely. No other injuries were reported.

There is no word on the cause of the fire.
