After a cool day for August on Friday, look for temps moving on up as the winds have shifted into the SW. Highs today should reach around 80 for most of us with a good supply of sunshine. More clouds are expected this afternoon though as the next system starts to move in. Overall a nice summer day.
Showers over New York state will try to move in overnight tonight and Sunday AM. The system is a fast mover so I expect a decent day on Sunday with partly sunny skies after the morning showers. Temps again will be near 80…maybe a bit warmer is some spots. There is an outside chance of a spot shower during the afternoon as well.
High pressure will be in control early next week and should hold off any storminess to our south. High temps will be a bit cooler…75-80 much of next week with a mix of sun & clouds. More clouds are possible over the Cape and islands later Monday & Tuesday. Later next week the winds look like they will shift into the NE and could means clouds and cooler conditions. Plenty of time to watch that one.
