The powerhouse rainstorm that dumped between 4-8″ of rain across much of the eastern seaboard managed to spare metro Boston, south shore as well as the Cape with these locations getting an inch or less. Thankfully, this storm is quickly lifting out of New England as we speak. Now we can get back to summer weather activities–without the heat or humidity!

A nice stretch of weather is on tap with large High Pressure now in New England. Plan on sunshine, low humidity, mild days & comfortable (even cool) nights. We will have this for the remainder of the week and into the start of the weekend. As of now it does look like Saturday will be the nicer of the two weekend days with a decaying cool front slated to move through New England on Sunday. This front will being clouds but only some isolated showers—certainly nothing like we experienced yesterday.

Halfway through August–make the most of your time, fall is approaching.
