Well, yesterday afternoon was quite busy with thunderstorm after thunderstorm producing hail across the area. Check out the list of hail reports:

The reason for all the hail? Anomalously cold air aloft for this time of year.
While I do expect a more stable day overall, there’s just enough cold air aloft leftover that an isolated showers/storm is possible. The coverage area pales in comparison to yesterday’s, and any shower will be short-lived. Bottom line, I wouldn’t rearrange outdoor plans over this, but don’t rule out the chance you may have to duck inside for a few minutes.
As high pressure builds in through the weekend, the weather turns out fantastic! Low to mid 80s inland, upper 70s coast and mostly sunny skies. Overnight lows are comfy too since the low humidity continues as well. The next chance of widespread rain won’t be until next Wednesday.
Tropical Storm Iselle makes landfall this morning in the Big Island of Hawaii. With the downgrade, the record of 0 land falling hurricanes on the Big Island continues. In addition, Julio tracks north of the Islands, so in total, 0 hurricanes hit Hawaii over the next several days. With that said, a strong tropical storm Iselle will still produce damaging wind gusts across the Big Island and plenty of heavy rain. Mudslides and flash flooding is certain a possibility. Julio may pass close enough for some gusty showers and certainly some kicked up surf, but impacts should be modest there if the current track holds.
