Rescued dog finds new home in Kentucky

Posted: Updated:

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A dog is lucky to be alive after a rough rescue.

Lola the dog is heading to her new home. She was found emaciated by Miami-Dade Animal services near Hialeah.

She received medical attention and was recently adopted by a family in Kentucky.

ARM Founder Richard "Kudo" Couto said, "She's going to an amazing home, and we don't have many success stories here at ARM, but this is one of them, so we're psyched she's going to get the home she deserves."

Officials said she escaped from a slaughter farm where she was being abused during religious rituals.
