DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Authorities are looking for a thief who grabbed several thousand dollars and ran, after an employee left a cart full of cash unattended.

The theft happened at the Walmart on Southwest 10th Street and Military Trail back on July 12.

Surveillance cameras rolled as an employee collecting money from the registers stopped to help a customer, when the crook quickly grabbed six pouches filled with cash and took off.

Detectives said the thief has a teardrop tattoo on his face.

If you have any information on this theft, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
