BOSTON (WHDH) -
A Market Basket board of directors meeting is taking place in Boston on Friday as thousands protest outside the company headquarters in Tewksbury.
7News caught up with Arthur S. Demoulas as he was going into the meeting and he said that he won't consider selling the company to his cousin, the ousted CEO Arthur T. Demoulas, until he sees the offer.
When asked what was happening to the company he said: "You are printing what's happening."
Demoulas had no comment when asked if he had anything to say to his employees and customers.
Arthur S Demoulas has been battling his cousin Arthur T Demoulas for control of the company for years. Arthur S. finally gained control and fired Arthur T. from his post as president last week.
That prompted protests from thousands of Market basket employees loyal to their popular former chief executive.
Arthur T says his offer meets or exceeds the company's value, but sources say there are other scenarios that could play out. There are reports of other bidders for the supermarket chain and reports the company could be sold piece by piece, which would end Market Basket as it is.
