A day after hitting 90+ for many towns, winds turn to the north and northeast and that means a big change in temperatures and humidity.
While we start the morning off warm and muggy, with a spot shower or two, the overall trend is to dry out and lower the humidity through the afternoon. With winds slightly onshore this afternoon, temperatures hold in the lower to middle 70s at the coast while we near 80 inland. Partial sunshine does return today with just an isolated leftover shower across Southeast Mass this morning.
Skies clear tonight, and that set's up a windows open type night with lows falling into the mid 50s in the burbs, low 60s in the city.
Friday and Saturday feature great weather days with low humidity and highs a few degrees either side of 80. We'll be on the warmer side of it inland, the cooler side of it along the coast.
Overnight Saturday and early Sunday, we may see a few showers and storms roll in, then break for some dry hours, only to see additional scattered storms later in the afternoon and evening. While I do expect a decent chance to get some water for the second half of the weekend, again, it's not an all-day type rain event., you'll find some dry hours out there. Additionally, the humidity goes back up too. We'll try to pin down the timing of storms as we get closer.
More showers and storms are likely on Monday.
Enjoy the lowering humidity for a couple days!
