Conn. 4-year-old banned from doughnut shop

MONROE, Conn. (WHDH) -

The saying goes 'kids say the darndest things,' and 4-year-old Justin Otero from Connecticut is no exception.

The difference is that his questioning personality got him banned from his favorite doughnut shop.

“There was a customer that came in and he asked her if she had a baby in her belly. She said ‘no’ and he said ‘I’m sorry,’” Justin’s mom Rebecca Denham said.

The woman reportedly brushed it off, saying she was used to questions like that from other young children.

“It looked like she was pregnant and I asked her if she was pregnant,” Justin said.

The managers at the store weren’t as forgiving as the woman though. Next time Justin and his mom went in a manager said he wasn’t allowed in because he was rude.

“Some people, unfortunately, are quick to pass judgment. So we will take our business elsewhere,” Denham said.

The manager and owner of the store had no comment.
