Location, location, location… they say location is everything, and in today’s weather, location was everything.

While we started the day with mostly cloudy skies, it was during the afternoon that weather varied big time from location to location as Boston, north and west went mostly sunny, while at the same time, clouds prevailed across much of Southeast Mass.  We even had soaking downpours develop over portions of the Cape.

A few downpours linger through dinner time, into the early evening across the Cape, but the trend overnight is to dry out.

We’ll still have onshore winds on Monday, but we’ll get back the sunshine for the areas that we socked in the clouds today.  Beach temps Monday run in the lower 70s.  Inland, we’ll reach near 80.

The pattern overall is mostly dry the next 7 days.  The heat and humidity return Tuesday and Wednesday with just some patchy drizzle Tuesday morning and  isolated afternoon storm inland Wednesday.  There will be a better chance for a passing showers or storms through the first half of Thursday.  On the other side of that front, we lower the humidity again, and enjoy great weather to end the week and start next weekend with highs in the lower 80s and returning sunshine.
