Slow moving fronts in July are never good. No different today as a cool front--now in the Berkshires--crawls toward the Cape. This front won't reach the Cape until mid to late evening. Rather slow considering there's no Cape traffic at 15,000 feet.
This front was responsible for the numerous showers & thunderstorms across the region yesterday afternoon---many were quite powerful as well as loaded with tropical downpours. No different today in terms of the tropical rains. The storms may not have quite as much punch as yesterday but they will still be capable of frequent lightning, gusty winds as well as heavy rain. All in all, not a great day for outdoor activities. Rain will taper early to mid evening and the drying process will commence.
The end of the week offers a nice bubble of dry, refreshing air. We are back into the sunshine tomorrow (some clouds too) as well as Friday as High Pressure arrives just in time for the weekend. Humidity is low and temps are comfortable with most towns right around 80.
