A Dorchester man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly upskirting at the Downtown Crossing T station.
A Transit Police officer was told by a concerned citizen that she was proceeding to the Orange Line via the escalator when she spotted a male holding a phone under the skirt of a woman in front of him and videotaping. She said the light was on the phone and she saw the victim's image on the screen.
Later she said that the man, later identified as Anwar Jaffar, 33, followed the victim and took a video as the victim went up the stairs.
The officer was able to locate Jaffar and place him under arrest, charging him with upskirting. He was expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on Friday.
