Commuter Rail experiencing delays due to power issue

Posted: Updated:
BOSTON (WHDH) - MBTA Commuter Rail riders faced serious delays Friday morning due to a power issue at South Station.

All trains going in and out of South Station may experience a 30 to 45 minute delay, according to the MBTA. This is due to an earlier signal problem, which has since been corrected.

Trains on the Franklin, Framingham/Worcester, Providence/Stoughton and Fairmount lines experienced delays and cancellations.

Passengers affected by the issues will have their passes accommodated.
