A cool front has done its job as it has dislodged the heat and it's about to dislodge the humidity from the region in a few hours. There's just one problem...this front is about to take a nap.
This front is located across Cape Cod and with it taking a 12 hour snooze locations on the Cape/Islands even portions of the South Coast/Shore can plan on lots of clouds & even an isolated shower this morning. Not the greatest of beach days on the Cape. As for the rest of us, it's a pretty good day with a mix of sun & clouds as well as much lower humidity. Most towns will reach the low 80s once again but a sea breeze returns today so coastal cities/towns as well as beaches will have afternoon temps in the upper 70s (great beach day for metro Boston & beaches north of Boston).
By Friday the cool front awakens from its nap and moves away taking clouds with it. High Pressure takes over southern New England with some stellar summer weather. Sunshine, low humidity & temps in the low 80s on tap. More of the same for the start of the weekend. By Sunday a warm front approaches New England...this is when you would want a front to take a nap. I don;t think it will so plan on sun giving way to clouds by afternoon and even the risk of some showers across western & northern New England (including Loudon, NH for NASCAR). As of now, I think we stay dry in this part of the world Sunday afternoon.
Enjoy your Thursday!
