Framingham man caught in wires, dragged down road

Posted: Updated:
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (WHDH) - A Framingham man is recovering after a phone cable wrapped around his leg and he was dragged down the road.

Fire officials say a truck carrying a modular home caught the phone and cable wires as it went by. The victim was standing in his front yard when he got caught in the wires.

"When the occupant went out to move the wires evidently another car came across, caught those wires and it got tangled in his legs and he did get dragged for a short distance down the street,” Framingham Firefighter Anthony Pillarella said.

The victim was taken to the hospital and has since been discharged, he is expected to be OK.

Neighbors on Old Connecticut Path say the low hanging wires are a problem, but so are the streetlights which don’t allow for good visibility in the area.
