The Red Sox have called up Rubby De La Rosa from Pawtucket to start in Wednesday night’s game against the White Sox.

De La Rosa, 25, from the Dominican Republic, has a 2.51 ERA in five starts for Boston this year.

To make room for De La Rosa on the roster, the Sox sent Brandon Workman down to Pawtucket.

The White Sox beat the Red Sox 8-3 on Tuesday night, the Boston team losing for the seventh time in eight games.
