NEWBURYPORT, Mass. (AP) - Authorities say a man has been accused of leading police on a chase through New Hampshire that ended on Interstate 95 in Massachusetts.

New Hampshire state police responded to calls about a reckless driver on Route 101 eastbound in Manchester on Tuesday morning.

New Hampshire police pursued the man, but later called off the chase. The vehicle was later spotted on I 95 in Newburyport, where Massachusetts State Police attempted to stop the man.

Police said the man then continued southbound and crashed near exit 56 in Newburyport. He ran into the woods, but police caught up with him. He has been identified as 32-year-old Nicholas Cammann.

He faces charges in both states. It wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer.
