David Ortiz was out of the Red Sox lineup for game one of Saturday’s doubleheader against the Baltimore Orioles, but for a good reason.
Big Papi was returning from the Dominican Republic where his daughter graduated for high school.
The Sox slugger tweeted out this photo with the caption “happy and proud dad.”

Ortiz is expected to make it back for game 2.
