KEY WEST, Fla. (WHDH) - Divers in the Florida Keys marked the July 4th holiday by displaying a huge American flag underwater.

The special flag used to fly at Memorial Park in Morris, Illinois to honor 9/11 victims.

It was scheduled for retirement, because of weather damage.

The divers attached the flag to a historic shipwreck off Key West.
