BRIGHTON, Mass. (WHDH) -
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of the owner of Roggie’s in Brighton.
Last month, a severely injured man was found outside the bar with serious head and brain injuries. Police initially thought he was attacked.
Sources said Boston Police now believe the man fell down a flight of stairs at Roggie's Bar and staff members did almost nothing to make sure he was OK.
Investigators, according to sources, believe the victim was left at the bottom of the stairs for almost 45 minutes and staff at the bar carried the unconscious victim out back and left him by a dumpster instead of calling police or an ambulance.
Police searched the bar in June looking for surveillance video from that night.
Thursday, the 44-year old bar owner was indicted on two counts of misleading police, one count of destroying evidence and one count of witness intimidation.
The victim’s name is not being released, but six weeks after the incident he is still listed as being in critical condition.
