WRENTHAM, Mass. (WHDH) - Family, friends and strangers are coming together in Wrentham to help find a lost dog.

Bond ran away Saturday while he was getting groomed for a dog show at the Cracker Barrel Fairgrounds in Wrentham when he was spooked.

"An awning that was on a van next to him fell. When it fell he got very afraid jumped off the table he ran through three rings where dogs were being show and then he ran into the woods,” Debra Giddings said.

Bond belongs to Giddings’ mother. He’s a 4-year-old show dog weighing around 80 lbs. He isn’t wearing a chip or a collar but he is tattooed.

"He's an American/Canadian show champion but more importantly he's her pet. She loves him and just wants him back,” Giddings said.

The family is offering a $5,000 reward for whoever returns their dog. So far they’ve had many tips but nothing confirmed.
