Body of woman found in Quincy

QUINCY, Mass. (WHDH) -

Quincy and Massachusetts State Police requested help identifying the body of an adult, African-American female found dead near the water in Quincy just before 5 a.m. on Sunday.

A resident near the vicinity of 734 Sea St. spotted the body near the water's edge.

The woman was wearing a black bathing suit covered by a black terry cloth cover. She was also wearing a silver necklace and a yellow Livestrong band on her left wrist. She had a tattoo on her right wrist of the word "Forever" written in cursive along with three initials in stylized script.

No additional belongings or identification were found.

It was unknown whether she entered the water at the vicinity where she was found. No indications of foul play or cause of death were reported at the scene. It was unknown if she had entered the water near where she was found. A medical examiner will conduct an autopsy.
