LYNN, Mass. (WHDH) -
Police said that three people robbed a RadioShack and ran into a packed Walmart in Lynn on Saturday, prompting customer evacuations.
The two men and one woman--two in masks and one carrying a gun--had stolen about $10,000 worth of electronics, according to officials. The suspects allegedly stole smartphones and iPads.
"It doesn't shock us. A weapon was shown during the course of the robbery and they were masked," said Lt. David Brown of the Lynn Police Department.
Police used surveillance video and found the suspects in the gardening section wearing stolen clothing and arrested them. They have each been charged with armed robbery although police plan on upping the charges.
The weapon, getaway car and the equipment have been recovered.
"A lot of different things happen. This is what we deal in, this is what we do. The officers actually did a really good job," said Brown.
The suspects are being held at the Lynn Police Department and will be in front of a judge on Monday.
