Posted: Updated:
CHELSEA, Mass. (WHDH) -  Police are investigating the death of a Chelsea man after officers were called to his home.

Investigators say officers responded to a call for an emotionally disturbed person.
When they arrived, the 56-year-old man barricaded himself in his room.

Police forced the door open and, they say, an officer used his stun gun when the man became violent.

They say when the man was handcuffed, he became unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
