We needed some water for the gardens and lawns that we got from Mother Nature yesterday, but it’s also nice to get back to the sunshine and the lower humidity. As we go through the weekend, we can keep that sunshine, and gradually watch the humidity creep back up, but remain on the comfortable side.
Beach temperatures today are down in the low 70s, but are closer to the upper 70s over the weekend. Weak sea breezes kick in Saturday and Sunday, allowing for those cooler temps at the coast, but it’ll still be plenty warm for the beach, especially with all that sunshine. Water temps are now in the low to mid 60s too, so that’s an improvement.
Dew point levels run mid 50s this weekend, a modest amount of humidity, so it’ll still be a good opportunity to leave the window open at night and allow that fresh air in. In addition, we’ll call it a 2 out of 5 on the frizz factor, so if you have a big date or wedding to attend to this weekend, we should have a couple good hair days.
Early next week, humidity goes up, and temps warm into the mid to upper 80s. With the higher humidity and warmer overnight lows, the A/C may be working more often. Higher humidity also leads to a higher chance of storms. Right now, a few isolated storms north and west are possible Tuesday, but a better chance for more widespread storms arrives Wednesday. Until then, keep those window boxes and gardens watered.
Have a good weekend!
