Brockton's interim police chief recovering after being hit by car

HINGHAM, Mass. (WHDH) - Brockton's acting police chief is recovering after being hit by a car while riding his bicycle in Hingham Sunday afternoon.

Interim Chief Robert Hayden, 72, was rushed to South Shore Hospital.

The crash happened on Hull Street (Route 228).

Police are investigating.

No charges have been filed.
