Two homes evacuated after gas leak in Holbrook

Posted: Updated:
HOLBROOK, Mass. (WHDH) - Two Holbrook families were forced out of their homes on Sunday by a gas leak.

The fire department said that it happened when a homeowner accidentally hit the abandoned gas line while doing yard work at a home on North Franklin Street.

The gas company had to shut the street down to dig up the pipe since it was below the shut off zone.

Two homes were evacuated but the people are back in their homes.
